Primitive Painting "Moosehead Lake/ Lake Hebron", Maine, Oil on slate painting in the oval, signed lower left "WL Steward", probably part of a family who settled in Monson, Maine who were painters at the end of the 19thC, 10" x 18" sight, set in a walnut with gold liner frame of the period, part of upper left corner of the slate is missing.
