Colt World War I Era 1911 Government Model Pistol, Made in 1917. Serial number 114525. In excellent condition as refurbished by the Augusta Arsenal. Retains 98% of its Parkerized finish with just a slight bit of mottling on left side where the patent dates are located. Marked with the “AA†refurbishment mark just above the front left side of the trigger guard. Ordnance bomb mark above the magazine release. All other markings are correct and sharp. This very nice example now wears Pachmayr Signature wraparound rubber grips, but we have checked the finish under the grips and it is in excellent condition. The barrel has an excellent bore and is marked “HS†on the right side of the foot and “P†on the left. Two magazines that look to be World War II era, one of them two-tone (but no lip markings), are included. An excellent example of the U.S. military’s favorite service pistol that could have seen service in four wars.
