Pair of Primitive American Portraits, Oil on canvas paintings of a middle age husband and wife, unsigned, possibly New York state origin circa 1830-40, original painted black and gold framed, both paintings and their frames are in good condition with only three small canvas repairs, 31 1/2" x 27 1/2" overall dimensions with 3" wide frames. Provenance: New Jersey collection, Hirschl and Adler (NY), Chris Jussel (original host of Antiques Roadshow).
