Onion and Wheelock Percussion Shotgun, 12 gauge with 32" barrels side by side, barrels are demasks showing a nice grain. Onion and Wheelock marked on the top rib along with a silver inlay at back of chambers by the nipples, and British proofed Birmingham England 1868-1925 and crown over B lock are engraved with a dog and woodcock on the left side and dog and duck on the right side. Hammers are also embellished with a head and mouth where it contacts the cap. Double triggers with very tight springs that work as they should. Trigger guard also has a dog engraving. Wood stock is checkered at the wrist and steel butt plate. Top rib of butt plate is also engraved with pheasant. Brass engraved stock tip and wedge escutcheons. Bore are lightly rusted and finish is worn to a mid gray showing nice grain with a few dark spots. Comes with what appears to be the correct ram rod with brass wood stock is deep brown with moderate handling marks. Overall very good condition.
