Juliaan De Vriendt, Belgian (1842-1935) Oil on wooden panel of two well dressed ladies preparing to pray, signed lower right in black along the lower wall "Juliaan De Vriendt, 1868". 22 3/4" x 33 1/4" set in a newer molded gold frame. Appears to be depicting the interior of a home with rich furnishings and decoration dated on the wall "Anna 1559" and with a figure on another wall with the inscription above it "St. Guris Ghulde." Descended in a local NH family until now.
