Jean Jacques Henner, France (1829-1905), oil on panel painting of a young woman in profile, signed lower left "J Henner", 10 3/4" tall X 8 1/2" wide, old gold molded frame with title plate on the front and old collection label on reverse #13717 "Ideal Head" also has Boston Museum of Fine Arts loan Label "#16479 June 1973 from Gilbert Verney".Provenance: Originally purchased by Gilbert Verney from the Newhouse Gallery, NY in 1949 see original receipt attached, also comes with the leather collection booklet from Gilbert Verney noting an East Coast collector previous to Newhouse Galleries, descended in the Verney Family until now.
