Inuit Qulliq (Kudlik) with Tender, soapstone vessel was the center of the home, it has three indentations on the bottom of the vessel which would have been placed on stick points, used for heating of water, cooking, drying of clothing and animal skins during the winter months, also as the only source of light, the vessel would contain pounded seal blubber and a forward line of moss (Arctic cotton), which lit and then manipulated with the soapstone tender, 1 3/4" H x 18 3/4" W x 9" D, most likely from the Nunavut Region of the most northern Canada, Early 20th Century or before.
