Portable Chinese Sundial & Compass. A lacquer wooden case consisting of a compass and a bottom sliding table and brass post which when assembled on the top has various inclining positions with tabulations. Appears to be 19th century or earlier, some chips to the back edge where it slides in. Provenance: A Walpole, NH estate collection. Estimate $200-300
