Chicago,” stem-wind pendant-set based on Adrien Philippe’s winding system, white enamel single-sunk dial, capped adjusted lever escapement, 18 jewels, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#117170. Gross weight of assembled watch 41.9 dwt. In this period, Patek Philippe would sell some movements directly to US retailers, who in turn would have the watches cased in the United States for savings on ad valorem duties. Contract cases such as these would be provided with serial number matching that of the movement, with rare exceptions. Good running order, fine movement condition overall, some microfine scratches and plate cloudiness; dial appears perfect; hands near mint; case shows very light wear, many microfine scratches, some internal scratches, no dents or dings; bow tight, crown shows very light wear; plastic crystal with some scratches. Comes with 7 3/4" long unmarked yellow gold tone watch chain.
