Pair of Carriage Lanterns with Amherst, NH History, 26" tall black and gray painted lanterns with cut ruby colored glass panes initialed "JHC" (Electrified), comes with an ivory handled whip with a red inscription" J H Carter Traveling Merchant" as well as his NH Peddler's license for 1847, the end of the whip is missing with some metal wrapping supports and one pane cracked.
