Hardcover, 3/4 leather, gilt decorated spine and fronts, gilt edges. Scuffed along spine, bindings and pages of both volumes in good condition. B) Hand-Books of Natural Philosophy and Astronomy. Third Course Meteorology - Astronomy. Dionysius Lardner, Blanchard and Lea, Philadelphia, 1854. With thirty seven plates and upwards of two hundred illustrations on wood. Complete with fold out Telescopic Chart of the South Eastern Quadrant of the Moon's Disk, by M.M. Beers & Madler. Original full leather binding, scuffed on corners, edges of black and gilt label. Tightly bound, plates in excellent condition, very minor foxing. A complete and attractive book. C) "Audubon: Fifty Selections with Commentaries by Roger Tory Peterson", The MacMillan Company, 1978. 50 loose color plates in tan box with embossed lettering. Each plate 13" x 10", with text on reverse. D) Exposition of the Principles of Abbott's Hydraulic Engine, with Tables & Engravings together with an illustration of the power of wheels, heretofore used. John Abbott, S. Rowland Hart, Boston, 1835. 132pp. Hardcover cloth with title label chipped and worn. Foxing throughout, large damp stain to title page. 7 woodcut plates, 2 partial fold out, good condition.
