Lot 93: 1836 English Silver Presentation Tray--Captain of "The Pennsylvania" before wreck

1836 English Silver Presentation Tray, a chippendale style solid silver footed tray made in London C 1818 with a maker's mark of "WKR", the tray weighs approx. 42.18 Toz., and is inscribed, "Presented to Captain John Parsons Smith by the passengers of the " Pennsylvania from New York to Liverpool in November 1936". This same ship sank off Liverpool in the Hurricane of 1939, 14 1/2"D.
