A very fine example of this unusual type; the short blade of almost drop point style lacking almost any swage or ricasso, tooled with the inscription 'THE GOLD SEEKER'; some minor oxidation throughout. The Quillon flat and slightly angled. the hilt made from an older piece of fine cutlery with a scale of ivory applied to either side with small rivets. A fine and rare example, 19th Century.
