Lot 71A: Lot of Civil War, Militia and Concert Band Items

Lot of Civil War, Militia and Concert Band Items. Included in this lot are a circa 1820-1840, militia rolled brass belt buckle. Sixteen Civil War cape clasps invented by Abel Putnam for Chester, VT. Buttons impressed, "Pat. Nov. 11,1862," some illegibly, but all are identical. A pair of brass number "2" riveted to black patent leather "Shields". Shields were sewn to an object at one point. A good painted cast metal buckle, "Woodstock, Comet Band," and its belt with bouillon piping.
