Native American Bentwood Box, dark wood patina with incised scratch decoration painted black with black primitive curlicue decoration, lid top and bottom held on by weaving a splint through the wood, oval shape 6 1/4" wide x 3 7/8" tall x 4 1/2" wide, possibly Abenaki, 19th century, crack in lid.
