Lot 65: Native American Woven and Leather Belt

Native American Woven and Leather Belt, the leather belt has a hollowed out middle section which had inserted a woven sinew and wool thread strip with various geometric designs which was stitched into place, also each edge had a hand woven dark leather design, approximately 32" long x 1 3/4" wide, the leather has 2 clean breaks with losses to woven section, appears to be late 19th century Western Plains. Provenance: Amherst, NH collection. Estimate $200-300
